Atlassian Consultant
Do you want to help organizations unlock the full potential of the Atlassian tools to support their Agile and DevOps initiatives? We are looking for a new team member to join our awesome teams in Copenhagen or Aarhus to guide our customers in achieving their goals with Atlassian tools.
Eficode is not your average consultancy. We pride ourselves on providing consultants with deep expertise, but who also come as part of a team. We are the service providers the clients listen to because we do not hold back ideas and suggestions in fear of losing face or making mistakes. If the client or project has a higher chance of going well by us stepping into a lesser important role then we will do so. All of this together creates an important bond of trust and loyalty with our customers and colleagues which not only creates an amazing work environment, but also enables us to do well where others have failed.
For the past consecutive years Eficode has been selected as Atlassian’s partner of the year, and we have built a solid presence in the Nordic Atlassian and DevOps market.
About the position
An Atlassian Consultant at Eficode works closely with the customer to improve their development and business processes. In practice this can mean setting up Atlassian tools - both process and configuration. It can mean running workshops around our customers’ challenges linked to the solutions that the Atlassian tools offer. The vision is to train and mentor the customer’s own staff, so we leave them with the skills and knowledge to operate everything we set up.
Consultants with Eficode do not spend all their time with the customer. We invest a lot of time in training, attending internal and external courses and conferences. In addition you are expected to spend time on pet projects, reading books, listening to podcasts, researching topics that interest you, and writing blog posts.
The below list of skills is wide-ranging and we do not expect people to be experts on everything. We’re looking for skills in one or two of these areas, coupled with motivation and curiosity to learn some of the others. In each area the technologies listed should be seen as examples not exclusive requirements. We will also train and guide you as part of the work.
Agile Development & Scrum processes: Using Jira doesn’t make you Agile though it does provide some great tools which can enable the Agile principles and we need to be able to understand and explain the differences between this and the SCRUM methodology as we guide Software Teams in using the Atlassian tools. How to scale Agile teams and do release management with Atlassian.
DevOps: The Atlassian tools are part of a whole and it is our job to make sure they fit in with the current DevOps practices, tools & culture as well as give advice on how Atlassian fits into the DevOps landscape.
JQL & SQL: Whether it’s Atlassian’s own Jira Query Language or SQL we need to be able to create and understand complex queries to get the needed data out of the systems.
REST API, Scripts & Automation: Sometimes the plugins are not enough and we need to create the solution. This usually includes communicating with the REST API using your favorite scripting language which could be cURL,Node.js, Java, Python or maybe even PHP.
Jira Data Center migration & upgrades: Though we usually do not take over responsibility for Jira Data Centers we often have to do maintenance and upgrades as part of other projects like a migration to the Cloud or a merge of Data Center instances.
Your new team
We are enthusiastic about learning and we believe in our collaborative culture. We take for granted that we can learn at work and grow with our colleagues. Our motto is “We don’t chop wood, we sharpen axes”. To achieve this we aim for spending one day a week on ourselves, the team, and on collaboration with other teams in the organization.
Our employees go on to build great professional reputations. We want to give our people every opportunity to achieve their full potential, and to change the world along the way.
We are looking forward to your application! Please send your CV with a cover letter describing your achievements, why you would be a great candidate for the role and addition to the Copenhagen or Aarhus team, via our recruitment platform.
